Cattolica 2027 preparation courses for Medicine in Italy

Cattolica 2026 test information

The entrance exam organizes the selection for the 6-year single-cycle Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery taught in English at the Rome Campus.

 Each year a decree defines registration deadlines, test centres, available seats and the detailed syllabus. We continuously monitor the latest call and help you interpret dates, procedures and documents so you can focus on preparation instead of bureaucracy.

This information is based on the latest official Cattolica 2026 decree and may be updated when the Cattolica 2027 call is published



Test Cattolica 2026:

  • Test date:  March 25, 2026
  • Delivery Method: Online (home-based) via the Proctor Exam remote surveillance system.
  • Duration: 65 minutes.
  • Backup Questions: At the end of the test, candidates must answer 7 additional backup questions in 7 minutes (one for each topic, used only in case of technical anomalies or single test cancellations).

Cattolica 2027 is expected to follow a very similar calendar; we will update this section as soon as the new decree is published

Who can take the Test?

  • EU candidates (and non-EU candidates legally residing in Italy).
  • Non-EU candidates residing abroad (competing in a separate ranking pool).
  • Academic Requirements: Candidates must hold a high-school diploma or be enrolled in their final year (to be completed by July).

Structure & scoring of the test (Cattolica 2026)

65 multiple-choice questions, 5 options, 1 correct answer.

Question breakdown:

  • 20 Logical Reasoning questions
  • 18 Biology questions
  • 12 Chemistry questions
  • 5 Ethical-Religious Culture questions
  • 4 Mathematics questions
  • 4 Physics questions
  • 2 General Knowledge questions


Marking scheme (max 65 points):

  • +1 points for each correct answer
  • −0.25 points for each wrong answer
  • 0 points for each omitted answer


Minimum score to be eligible:

Candidates must score at least 20 points out of 65 to be considered eligible for the ranking lists. Scoring below 20 means automatic exclusion.

  • How to proceed: 
    1. âž” Register as a new user by entering your personal details to obtain your login credentials.
    2. âž” Log in and go to the "Iscrizione Concorsi" / "Admission" section. Select the specific competition for the current academic year (e.g., Ammissione Medicina e Chirurgia in lingua inglese / Medicine and Surgery ).
    3. âž” Book your test session and pay the registration fee through the guided system (usually via credit card or PayPal). 

    If you have a FOREIGN high school diploma (or attend an international school):

    Cattolica handles these applications through a separate international channel:

    1. Follow the path: Degree Programmes âž” Undergraduate Programmes âž” Medicine and Surgery (Rome Campus).
    2. âž” Click on the "Apply Now" button.
    3. âž” Register on the dedicated portal for international students, fill out the online form, upload the required school/academic documents, and pay the test fee online.
