One of the most valuable resources in your IMAT preparation is also the most underused: official past papers. Real IMAT test papers are the closest thing to the actual exam experience you can get: same format, same style of reasoning, same traps. No textbook exercise or third-party question bank replicates them perfectly, which is why you'll find the full collection of previous IMAT papers on our online simulator, ready to practise on in realistic exam conditions.

That said, past papers are a finite resource, and how you use them matters as much as the fact that you use them. Don't burn through them all in your first month of study: save them for when you've already built a solid foundation across the core subjects, so each paper gives you meaningful, actionable feedback rather than just discouraging you early on. Space them out deliberately, roughly one every few weeks in the later stages of your prep, and always do them timed and in one sitting, replicating real test conditions as closely as possible (yes, that means no pausing to look things up mid-paper). After each one, resist the urge to just check your score and move on; a slow, honest review of every question you got wrong, or even guessed right, is where the real learning happens. Used this way, past papers don't just test your preparation, they sharpen it.
